What is Codex binding?
This is a parallel binding with the back of the book bound with thread binding so that the back of the book is visible. The book opens up to the bottom of the spine, so there is no need to hold the book by hand to keep it open. This binding method is suitable for books with many facing pages, such as illustrated catalogs and photo books.
